Active carbonfilters

E-mail Print PDF

In active condition, carbon has an enormous surface and therefore it can be used for deodorisation of gasses. Carbon filter-elements are used to protect the driver against the inhalation of specific toxic vapours. Freshfilter supplies active-carbon filter-elements in conformity with the ABEKHg-classification in the most common sizes. Below you can find detailed information regarding the type of carbon the polluted area requires:

A

Aromatics en PAH’s, organic vapours, BTEX.

X

Aromatics with a boiling-point below 65°C

B

Anorganic substances: chlorine, cyanide, etc

E

Sulphour dioxyde and anorganic acid vapours

K

Ammonia

Hg

Mercury

Replace the carbon elements every 9 weeks at minimum. Always place a dust filter-element in front of the carbon filter-element for protection. When the PPM exceeds the 5PPM or when odour pollution is notices, always replace the carbon filter-element!

Dust / HEPA-filters

E-mail Print PDF

To remove dust-particles from the cabin-air, Freshfilter can supply dust filter-elements. The dust filters must be placed at the most polluted side of the overpressure unit, since their function also consists of protecting the next (fragile) carbon- and HEPA filter-elements.

Dust filter-elements have a life span of 5 month at maximum. When a new sanitation project is entered, always mount new elements. When (noticeable) dust-particles enter the cabin, you must replace the elements as well.

Freshfilter can supply dust filter-elements in the P1, P2 and P3 (HEPA) gradations:

F5

Harmless crill: MAC – value > 10 mg/m³: F5 in conformity with NEN779

F7

Harm causing crill: MAC – value 0,1 to 10 mg/m³: F7 in conformity with NEN779

H13

Toxic crill: MAC – value 0,1 mg/m³ or less: H13 in conformity with EN1882.

(e.g asbestos, weldingvapor, glass: filaments or dust-particles, copper vapors.)

Used elements are chemical waste! Removing elements from the overpressure-unit must be done only after finishing the sanitation project and before the transportation of the materials. Always use appropriate protection when removing filters.
